th400 Bellhousing

th400 Bellhousing

So apparantly the bottom part of my bellhousing is missing and i need to replace it, anyone have one or know where i can buy just the one piece?

You mean the converter cover ("0579, Pan" in the illustration book, transmission chapter)?

Those tended not to survive well over the years.

This one is from a 65. The later ones were plastic this one is metal. $20 plus shipping.

I keep them off to help cool my converter.I'll see what I have.I do have a metal one like the picture,but the later ones were plastic,as mentioned.

It will as long as it has a th400 trans.

Good item to pick up at a swapmeet. All brands fit as long its for TH400. Actually TH350 may be same? but not sure. Usually see lots of em cheap at swap meets?

I know some years are brand specific for the starter cutout, but should be easy to find one. Not absolutely necessary to have it, but it keeps dust out of the converter and flexplate area.
