I am looking for a nice set off fenders for a 1986 sutlass supream.

 

Should be plenty of them out in the boneyards. The fenders from basically 1981-88 are pretty much the same if I remember right. That gives lots of donors to choose from. I just did a quick search on the web around here and the local pic a part has 4 Cutlass Supreme coupes (83, 85 and 2 88's). Pricing on each fender is 47.00 including core. Check out the self serve wreckers in your area. They are going to have these parts. Another thing, the rust prevention technology in the 80's was pretty decent. So unless you're in a salt belt during winter season, or live on the coast the fenders should stay in pretty decent condition and only need the usual cleanup prior to paint.

The only thing that I believe they changed over these model years was the front nose piece and some of the interior trim, but not to any great extent. Although the Cutlass Supreme Coupe was (IMO) nicely styled, it showed very little innovative thinking in design from 1978-1988, but was a popular seller. I guess one advantage is that you could have an old car that still looked like the new ones. On the flip side, you could have a new car that still looked like the old ones....

If you go and take the fenders off at the wreckers, you can 1. Save money, and 2. learn how to do this on a wrecked car instead of trashing your own to learn how.

I live in michigan and anything in the bone yards are pretty rusted! Need something from further south

 

how much are you willing to pay . and how would you want them shipped , i will be stripping a complete 83 rust free cutlass next week if i do do not get any offers by friday, i have driver and passen rust free,

 

I would pay $100 for the pair as long as they are not all dented up, as far as shipping where are you located? Pick up may be an option. Are you trying to sell the whole car? Might be interestewd in that also.
