75?

Anyone have a source for the light and switch for the center console on my 75 H/O?

When you say “light” do you mean the lens cover or the bulb socket?

This site shows the same lens cover was used from 1970 to 1977.

It’s available at different prices from multiple sellers.

The socket is laying in the open compartment but the wiring won't "stretch" back to the rear of the box. (will have to extend the wires apparently and the socket is rather large, the size of bulb would be like the courtesy lights under the left and right dash!! Seems like too big of a bulb for a light for such a small compartment. PLUS when I put a bulb in there when I opened the drivers door the light went on? I'm just not certain that it's the correct socket for the console box!!! I'm becoming an electrical detective.
I did order the inner liner for the compartment as it's missing and I have a door coming but even that liner doesn't appear correct but will wait and see when I get it.

The console light is wired to the switch posted above, so it comes on only when the console lid is lifted.

The bulb/socket you mentioned is apparently wired to the interior lights that are controlled by the door switches, so it’s not actually the inner console light. My car has a light at the rear of the console (rear footwell light) that is wired to the door switches, so maybe that’s what you have and it needs a wiring harness extension to reach the rear of the console?

That's what I was kind of thinking that there was a courtesy light for the rear seat, but the little cover back in that area is solid (does not have a clear lens, unless someone changed that back there - which is always possible)! There are two additional wires I have yet to check out and it may be that those are for the box light and switch! I'll did into that further as that would be hot all the time I suspect like the glove box light.
Thanks

I may be mistaken but i believe they eliminated the rear-facing lens (that probably came on with the open door) on the console somewhere mid-74 early 75..I think i have a parts book somewhere listing it..

Thanks for the reply. THis is probably the reason and the harness was set up for it but not used.
