1970 42 W30 Automatic 7040258 Carb Wanted

I'm in need of the referenced carburetor and also could use the correct distributor for same.
Any help with leads or actual parts would be greatly appreciated. I've owned this car sine1972 and unfortunately removed these pieces. I'd really like to put it back to OEM form before it's too late. thanks!! gary

0258's have become harder to find these days than the 4 speed carb. Good luck in your search.

I have a decent factory original GM 1970 Olds Cutlass 442 W30 automatic Rochester carburetor assembly. This has a part number of 7040258 RK and is dated 1800 which is June of 1970. Nice factory coloring. Came off a car in 1972 and has been in dry storage ever since. Nearly impossible to find anymore.

With that ad, you are really setting yourself up for a scammer. Be very careful. Verify first.

I purchased the carb new in '72-3 thru a machine shop working on the motor (455) going into my car at that time. I still have the car, now 54 years, and put the original drivetrain back in (330).......kept the change-out parts, and one is the carb. The # 7040258 is stamped on the carb, along with 2503...............These parts where not made in Heaven by Angles.....................
