71 Rocket 350 PCV Valve NOS #

I'm rebuilding my 71 Rocket 350 4 BBL in my Cutlass Supreme.
And I am hoping someone can supply me with the correct NOS # for the PCV Valve that inserts into the Valve cover grommet on the driver's side of the engine.

You might have better luck if you post this in the General sub forum.r

66-72 V8 uses pcv valve CV679C, or part number 6421972.
Probably fits others too, but this is the correct part for your 1971.

I moved his thread here because I'm assuming he's looking for an NOS part.

Note the correct PCV will have the hose coming in from the top, not the side. Even though it's less stress on the hose and grommets with the 90, that's how they did it back then.

From the 71 PIM:

Yeah, they're like SBCs...they're everywhere. I believe the dull sliver was more "correct". The shiny ones are still ok, but I don't think they're period correct if you're going for that look. Same valve, though.

LOL ! Al Sutton gave me the same numbers from his 71 parts book. I looked at a nice NOS one on EPAY and it said it was not compatable with my car. it was being sold by Pacecarjeff. Who I know is a member of this site.

Well, we all know THAT is some bullcrap. I guess if it's not specifically listed in the "what does it fit" section, it will default to saying it doesn't fit.
