Hello all. My father recently purchased a 63 super 88. It came with 3 hubcaps, but we are missing the fourth. Looking to complete the set. I believe the color is barktone mist (brown).

 

There's one on E-Bay that's even the right color .

Do you have the clips that hold these hateful things on? Fusick.com if you don't. Gorgeous wheel treatment but a real PITA to deal with.

Barktone was a fairly rare color in 63; it was a one-year offering. If the one on ebay doesn't pan out for you there's a brass stencil mask to paint the background on these wheelcovers. It was one of the 1963 Dealer Essential Tools.

These things were notorious for coming loose as the spring clips aged and lost tension or were installed incorrectly, so if you plan to keep your Dirty Dancing Oldsmobile, grabbing a spare or two is a great investment. That and a 1963 factory Olds Service Manual- hopefully with the pasted-in revisions and updates.

Is the car itself painted Barktone Mist? Hence the Dirty Dancing Oldsmobile reference.
