Trim Rings for Super Stock IV Polycast wheel

I’m looking for some trim rings for my Polycast Super Stock IV Wheels. Unfortunately one fell off so I need 1 quick. I would really like to buy 3 or 4 if possible. Let me know if you have some in good shape. Thanks

you can use camaro trim rings from the 70s rally wheels. they fit great, but not correct.

Do you know if these will work? They are listed as 15x6 and have the step lip but the extra small lip on the inner edge concerns is what concerns me

Thank you I appreciate it. It’s my price and joy. I plan on repainting my wheels and installing my 4 NOS center caps then I lost a trim ring ugh. I have 1 cap in nice condition (not NOS) so it went on the spare. Painted it yesterday I think it came out pretty good
Repainted spare with nice cap (not NOS)

I have a set of those wheels that I was going to use on my Regency and my friend told me to get mid-eighties Chebby pick-up trim rings. They're buried in the garage so I don't have a part number for you.

Those wheels look perfect on your car. Didn't know that wheel used a trim ring.

Thanks! Yes it uses trim rings but they are nearly impossible to find. Other rings will work, but I want to keep it all original. The hunt continues

There was a guy in Colorado I think who had a bunch of SSIV wheels for sale. Don't know if he has trim rings. If I come across his contact information will forward to you.

Appreciate it. The wheels are definitely more plentiful than the trim rings and center caps. I was extremely lucky to find 4 NOS center caps but I’ve been looking for trim rings for a couple years with no luck. Only ones I’ve found are dented and banged up. I need nice ones.

There is a very similar one for sale online but it has an inner lip which I was told would hit the Polycast portion of the wheel and not work. It’s extremely close I am tempted to just order them and try it out myself

Correct OE trim ring below, no inner lip

I just picked up what I believe to be one real nice SS1V wheel. Does anybody have a picture or in need of one wheel if it is indeed the correct wheel? Contact me @ pchopesq@aol.com

Sorry about asking for a picture of the wheel. My browser for some reason doesn't show some pictures. So I used my backup browser to see the pictures and I do have a real nice wheel if anybody needs one.

Thanks

Mike

I have several of these wheels and will check tomorrow if I have a nice original trim ring on one of them. If I do I will let you know!

These trim rings were used on SSIV and the 77-79 big car N82 chrome wheel option. Doesn't make nice ones any easier to find. You need a tire installer who will work with you to line up the valve stem cutout, the rim clips, and the balance weights so the trim rings will get a good bite on the rim.

88-96 or so Chevy truck steel wheel trim rings are going to be your best option if you can't find correct SSIV rings. They're shaped to fit in the recess. They don't have the slant the SSIV ring has but I think you realise you're looking for hen's teeth.

Another alternative are Ford Polycast wheel trim rings. They clip on same as SSIV but cover only the outer edge of the wheel, not the recess. Commonly found on 77-79 Thunderbird/Cougars.

Your knowledge on the proper fitting substitutes is super helpfu RocketRaider. I’ve been looking for over a year with no luck. I ended up sending my trim rings to a guy who restores them. It’s costing me a pretty penny to have them redone but the end result will totally be worth it considering that originals in decent condition are not out there. I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
