Correct Fuel Pump for 70 W30

Hi Guys,

I am looking for an NOS fuel pump for a 1970 W30 I am restoring. I believe it should be 40712. If anyone has one for sale, please email me at vintageignition@yahoo.com

Thanks
Mike

That is the correct number. I see them pop up on ebay every couple months. They go between $50 and $100 when they sell.

I thought there was a thread on here that had someone rebuilding them? Or maybe there just wasn't enough interest in rebuilding the olds fuel pumps.
OEM for your application is an AC Delco 40712.

I believe there was someone but can't remember who it was. I do remember that it was more expensive to rebuild than to find an NOS one. If they rebuild it they will have to crimp a new cap on it and it is not going to look exactly the same as NOS.

I will look and see if I saved a screen shot of who did it. More expensive yes. Finding an NOS is tough also. I have a used fuel pump I bought from Octania that I was gonna let him rebuild and see how it turns out.

The guys name is:
Fred Ballard

Fredsclassics@hotmail.com

Said he does mostly Ford pumps. He said google "crimped fuel pump rebuild"

This is from a 2014 post.
