Looking for 1968 Front Grille Cover

This seems hit and miss as some cars have this and others don't.

On a 1968 442s and perhaps Cutlass', there is a metal plate that fits to the radiator top plate. It covers the top of the grille to protect it.

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't think it's reproduced.

Thank you
-Craig

Here's one, $30 plus the ride. They are riveted to the grill though. I'm guessing you knew that yes?

Hm. The only other 68 442 in my city has this. And it covers the egg crate grille without problem. My problem is that now that I've bought a brand new grille, I'm always afraid I'll accidentally lean into it and break it again like the previous owner did. It seems odd that 442s would have nothing covering and protecting the grille.

So it may be a clone.

The factory did not use that plate on 1968 442s. I've broken one 1968 grille the same way, back in my young and stupid days.
