1955 98 holiday hartop coupe chrome

Hello all,
My dad bought a 1955 oldsmobile holiday hardtop coupe back in the 90s and was in the process of restoring it. However when going from the body shop to the interior shop most of the chrome "went missing". Frustrated with the search my father gave up and the car has sat unfinished in storage for nearly a decade now. I have taken it upon myself to try and track down the missing parts. Any information would be super helpful. Thanking you in advance.
Tyson.

It is to bad they did that.
If it was me I would have been all over there *** every week if not every day.
Now Has been to long and I'm sure the stuff came up and got tossed out.
Always check local for parts cars, put a want ad on this forum and any others you can think of.
Jalopy journal would be good. It may wind up buying a whole parts car to get what you need.
Would be great to see it on the road again.
Any pic's so far?

Gene

Welcome to the site, sorry to hear of your dads unfortunate problem. I moved your post to the parts wanted section. Hopefully some members may be able to point you in the right direction. You might try listing all the trim locations your need.

Pretty sure I have this

I will check when I get home from work but I'm fairly certain this is the chrome I have. I don't have a lot of it but I gave some. I can send pics if you'd like. I purchased it for my 55 Super 88 hardtop and it was wrong.

Right rear power window motor and regulator

Wiper arms

Left + Right cowl outer stainless air screens

Upper hood trim molding

Front lower bumper assembly

Right rear fender stainless upper & lower moldings

Rear taillight stainless "surrounds"

Rocker moldings (?) not too sure if this car had any but there seem to
be holes there

This was the list given to me by the Interior guy who currently has the car

If the rocker panels are drilled (usually square holes) the moldings are missing and it had them at one time. You might try Fusick they had them at one time awhile back That is a hard part to find don't pass any up if you find a set. Fisick should have the taillight bezels , and the hood lip trim is probably the hardest part to find of all of the parts listed they rust out on the bottom and most are trash. You should get Ebay book marked on your computer because it will becme yor evil friend.Stuff is out there just takes a lot of time to find and sometimes 88 parts will fit a 98 or Holiday so ther are options if you know what you are looking for... Luck in your quest... Tedd

Hello Tyson
I've got the remains of a 1955 Olds 88 4 door I dismantled a few years ago. Is your car a 2 door or 4 door model? I'm pretty sure I have the lower front bumper, although its only in core condition and would need re-plated. I'm not sure what else I have that would interchange. But let me know if you'd like to see pictures of the bumper and if your car is a 4 door some of the side trim may interchange. John

If you have questions about what fits what , PM me , I have a 1963 parts catalog that covers 1955 pretty well.
