Who has a decent 403 for sale?

 

Im suppose to be getting one in a 72 supreme it has 87,000 miles.The guy is getting the title and when he does I will pick it up.

Got a guy down here with a rebuilt one with less than 2500 miles on it. It's gone stock rebuild. Runs great. Comes with rebuilt th350 too. $1700 for it. Shipping would probably be around $250 to up there

 

There is one on the Dallas Craigs list, if its still there. Just saw it yesterday.

 

Think I may be good, now. Have an opportunity for a '77 403 with short-shaft THM400 from a Delta for $350. Car was driven into a barn with a gas tank leak and the driveline was removed. The car belonged to this guy's Grand-father. Engine has a little North of 100K on it.

However, I do know of someone from around here looking for a 403 as well. But, he wants to buy cheap.

 

Well....rebuilt engines guaranteed to run aren't cheap...ha.

 

I don't know of anyone that guarantees a used engine. Also, in a PM, I got a nice offer of a good, running 403 at $800.

I will take my chances on the one with the transmission. Had many good conversations with a very forthcoming and legitimate sounding young man. I can do what I want on the rebuild of this one.
