70 Tilt

Is there a difference between 70-72 tilt columns? Any difference between these columns for chevy, pontiac, buick or Oldsmobile? Just curious.
Thanks

Not sure where the date difference starts but the armature at the bottom of the column is curved at least on the 1970s

The difference on these columns are subtle but they do affect operation & fit.The Chev & Pontiac are the same "A" body upper bowl.the ign sw is different for the Pontiac in 1970.The backdrive linkage for the Chev is different for the Std Vs Auto trans. It also has no B/U lite switch on the column. The Buick and Olds are basically the same column with a shorter upper bowl and an eyebrow cut on the top.Lower arms are the same and both feature the same ign and B/U lite sw's. Hope this settles any questions.I sell rebuilt columns for all "A" body 64 to 72's.I also have the correct unit for early "F" bodies.Tks,Bill

Hey Bill:
Explain what you do when you rebuild a column; what parts need replacing, what parts are rebuilt, etc.? Also, what do you charge for a rebuilt, floor-shift, tilt column?
Thanks!

HI,
I'm new to this, but interested in a Tilt colum and sport wheel
~Floor shift.
For my 1970 442.

I would also like to find a home for the Non tilt column and Worn but solid original Wheel.
Thanks

I just shipped my column to Gary's Classis in Athens,TX for a rebuild, I've used him before, great work. He also sells columns.
