WTB original 80's Delco 4"x10" rear deck speakers

For my '86 Cutlass. These can be found in many mid-late 80's and maybe early 90's GM cars. (No time to junkyard hunt right now)
Need to be the extended range version (large magnets) and in very good or better condition.
These were a $168 option on the 86 Cutlass and they should look like these:

My second set of kenwoods in 15 years have deteriorating foam surrounds so want to go back to stock. Poor quality despite the high prices.
20 year old chrapo spark-o-matics in the Pinto are still fine.

Lemme know what you have!

Check out www.turnswitch.com if you have not already done so. They might have something that meets your needs.

WHUPPS! Looks like I missed seeing this...

Crazy - can you get a picture from the other side? Thats what I really need to see.
I ~think~ these are what I seek....

Any dry rot or other damage? Browning of the paper?

Dry rot? I don't think so. No browning that I can see. They came out of an 86 Cutlass that was sitting at a body shop for four years with 68,xxx miles on it.

Car hit a deer and bent the frame.
I don't have much left at all.

Still on the lookout for a very good pair of these speakers (or just one even) for my 86 Cutlass.

One that I had received recently was damaged in shipment due to insufficent packing... Dust cover, gasket and cone was torn.
I repaired it but not sure how long it will last.

I do not need the hangers - I have two good ones now.

Are yours 4, 8, or 10 ohm impedance?

Last edited by oldcutlass; May 23rd, 2013 at 08:23 PM. Reason: asking impedance

Thumbs up Speaker repair

Rob, one of the best speaker repair companies in the nation is right in your backyard. Get your speakers re-coned. Every time I've had it done the prices were reasonable. I bet I have used them a half dozen times, at least.

Not desperate or anything - just want some true originals in good shape without spending a lot. I got the hangers, just need the speakers.
