WTB 72 Cutlass Rear Tail Lites 10/10 or NOS
#7
i have a set of NOS 72 lenses. i think even some of the NOS lenses have the over spray on them. i will have to look at mine to see if they do. i would have to have $200 for them. if yours are good other than the paint you may consider painting them anyway. many of the NOS ones have little chips in the paint right out of the box.

I think $200.00 is VERY fair for NOS pieces. For what it's worth, I refurbished mine and in my opinion, they look better than some of the NOS ones I have seen. I used Krylon "Dull Aluminum" and blue painter's tape and took my time. After painting and tape removal I polished the lenses with some plastic polish I had laying around. Total cost was about $6.00.
If NOS is what you want, I'd jump on that set for $200.00.
Until next time..... Dave.

As far as taping off?
1. Recently I found and started using 'Frog Tape'. Honest to God, that's what it's called. Soon as any mosture comes in contact with an exposed edge it seals itself and prevents any bleeding of paint.
2. I used an exactly knife and took my time to cut the paint edges. Came out looking (I think) better than NOS.
Just a reminder for anyone who wants to add this to their bag of tricks for restoration.
