WTB- '68 Toronado exhaust manifolds
WTB- '68 Toronado exhaust manifolds
Need a set of '68 Toronado 455 exhaust manifolds.
I need a set that will seal, and have not been decked more than once. Mine have been decked so many times that they keep blowing out the gaskets. Yes, I know that these don't neccesarily need gaskets, but same thing, they have been decked so many times that the ports are larger due to the way that the openings get larger inside the manifold. Each time they were decked, the openings get larger. This leaves less material for a sealing surface, and creates hot spots. They will not stay sealed for more than a few hundred miles before the gaskets blow out. Generally noisy without gaskets, too. I've tried it both ways, with and without gaskets, and tried different brands of gaskets.
Will the '66-67 425 manifolds cross to the 455?
I'm also open to suggestions from anyone who has had this common Toro struggle.
Thanks, Jerry
