WTB: 455 Intake manifold

Hey Guys and Gals,


Looking for a 455 intake manifold for a friends 71 SX-

Are you looking for stock or after market? If stock, does it have to be period correct, date stamped etc......?

all i have 442 now is link to ad
i bead blasted this intake

saw no cracks

sold as is
shipped to a businesss
be saFE

pics got deleted
i can dig the manifold out
and take new pictures if need be

Sounds like a bargain

maybe avoid 1969 [J] unless you are going electric choke- pre '70 had dovirced choke.

I have A nice code R 407567 71 455 4V. mine is the rare manual trans version with the tube port by the water neck No EGR. Iron. correct casting no, for 71 455 sx but this one was a mt application.

i did not know they made a 1971 4 speed SX
they did make a 442 in 1971 with 4 speed that was not a w30

lunar may have a rare piece of cast iron 442 YA

The price is basically shipping
and price of glass bead media and intake
zero $ labor 4 cleaning
oh well

sorry for confusion, the casting 407567 is for 71 455 auto or manual. There were two versions of this casting one for auto and one for manual. my manual intake was correct for the sx in casting. just the casting no. but not correct for the drilled port,

i believe you are correct in that no 4 speed 71 sx production cars because of the highway gear.

i would think they cast all the R intakes "same"
just a select few with the crank case vent nipple 4 manual trans???
