OEM or aftermarket? The OEM gears require a 4-series carrier, the Richmond aftermarket gears are thicker to fit the more common 3-series carrier.

This ought to start a ruckus. I bought a richmond aftermarket off of amazon for 130$ Went all over town asking if they could remove 0.100" for me. One machine shop said the could "try" for 350$. So I mounted it on a brake lathe, set up the pattern. Drove it last summer, dead quiet! Tricky part was setting it up on the lathe with 0" runout because that really matters!
