WTB: 1983 Chassis Service Manual

I am posting this ad for "Northern Custom Cruiser," who needs a legible manual for his wagon.

He's a 19yo kid with a thin wallet and a strong urge to keep this car going strong.

If you've got one to donate, I'm sure he'd be grateful.

If you've got one to sell, both 76Olds and I would be happy to cover the cost.

Thanks,

- Eric

I'm pretty sure there's a copy on WildAboutCars in the subscription section.

I'm sure that the young man (I haven't asked him whether it's okay to post his name) would be grateful for any other parts of the manual series he could get.

I (and two other members) have gotten him the Fullsize CSM, mailed from Lansing to Ohio today, but the Electrical Manual, or the FBM would be great, too, I'm sure.

Send me an e-mail (from the drop-down menu on the left of the page) and we can work out the details.

Thanks,

- Eric

So I spoke with Eric and he put me in contact with this great kid. Really nice kid. We spoke quite a bit. I sent him a mint set of the chassis service manual, electrical troubleshooting manual, and the fisher body manual. He was very appreciative and I think he will be a great addition to our family here. He told me how incredibly generous and helpful everyone has been here. I explained that we are all just paying it forward from all the kind and generous people who helped us along the way.

Exactly.

He started a very nice thread thanking all of us, too.

Thanks for your own extremely generous contribution.

I'm happy to have helped out with getting this young guy the material he needs to read up on.
He will get a good asset in our community with the newer Oldsmobiles in the future.

Cheers
Eric

One of the earliest photos of me has me sitting on top of a straight 6 in a Nova working on the points. I feel sorry for today's kids that never have that moment.

I just now saw this thread for the first time and wanted to thank you all again, thanks to you all ive got the 83 CC running like a champ as consistent and consistent can get. Also, professur, one of the first pics that was taken of me with my first CC about a year ago was me sitting on the radiator shroud pulling the valve cover gaskets. I feel like ive become in touch with the generation i was meant to be in xD
