Recently purchased a 1970 442. Body and motor are numbers matching. To my dismay I discovered the current carb is a Buick 1972 Rochester and runs very poorly. I would like to get the appropriate carb. I don't mind a good solid core that can be rebuilt but the year and stamping needs to be legit. Here is a photo of what the carb should look like. Thanks any leads are great too!
Don't buy the one on ebay. It's a restamp. Plus there's W30 auto restamps coming out of Florida these days..... I've seen two on ebay that "sold" for over 3K. Buyer beware.
Youre gonna need to know your build date/week so as to not buy one that's from after when your car was built. You can check Ebay, but buyer beware, there's quite a few re-stamps floating around.
