Seeking good usable rear end/diff for 1969 Cutlass Supreme 350 in Los Angeles area.

I too have some that would need to be shipped. I think you should check with vistacruiser1971 as he's another member with lots of parts and is located in LA. Not sure your exact location but maybe you could drive to his place and pick one up. John

can I swap in a chevelle unit or do I need to stay type "O" ?

Pretty much any "A" body rear will work, up to an including '72.
