I'm looking for the cast iron rear A/C compressor bracket for the 1966-67 full size cars. P/N 391281, used only on full size cars in 1966-67. Will consider buying the whole set if you don't want to split it up. It's the RH racket in this photo.
i have the 391281 bracket, from 67 delmont 425. it appears i scrapped the other half with the junk compressor so i don't have to split anything up.idk but is $25 shipped a fair price?

Joe, I was wondering what the difference was for future reference. Is it year, body style, or something else? The only 60s cars I have owned were full size 66-67

The parts book shows a unique bracket for the 66-67 B/C body cars. To be honest, I've never understood why there is a difference, but there is a slight dimensional and shape difference. Compare the photo I posted with yours. They aren't quite the same. I mean, hood clearance shouldn't be a driver - I could understand if we were talking about an early Toro, for example.
Same thing with the 1980s 307 cars. The 2dr Cutlass uses different brackets than the 4dr. Go figure.
Well, after spending a little more time comparing the two brackets, it appears that the rear compressor mounting lug on the 391281 bracket is further forward than on the other bracket. I wonder if this is due to the use of a different water pump length, requiring the compressor to be pushed forward for belt alignment.
