WTB: 1965-67 AM FM Mono Radio

I have seen listings on the internet showing AM FM Radios but the one in the 67 F85 has some definitely different radio ***** than others I have seen or maybe that was on a 68. I would imagine that any Olds radio would work other than the Toronado that had both of the ***** on the one side. I am just looking for a AM FM mono radio that will fit the F85/Cutlass Dash. There are 0 AM stations where I am at and while we did get a redirad so we can have some music via the iPod - we would also like the FM stations.

It wasn't correct for the year, but I had a factory AMFM radio from a 67 F85/Cutlass/442 in my old 66, though to make it fit, I think the previous owner had to use a 67 AMFM radio bezel as well. And to look right, 66 *****. I am not sure if the big car radios will fit.
Problem with this is the F85 AMFM radio will be EXPENSIVE! And even if you can find one, finding one that works well will also be a challenge.

If yer AM receiver is working, what you need is an FM converter. They were way popular 20-some years ago but I don't know where you might find one now.
They were small and unobtrusive, mounted under the dash, powered by switched 12V source. The car's antenna cable went to it, and then the converter had a cable that plugged into the AM radio's antenna jack. Tune to around 1400kc Am, and walla! you had mono FM that played thru the car's radio and speakers.
And trust me that they worked better than most 1960s factory FM tuners.

Thanks for the input - I will try to see if I can locate a FM converter - I know I bought one a long time ago for my 67 Chevy II - I think I bought it at carquest. In the mean time - I would like an AM FM Mono radio.
I know, but it would be nice to have. There is a guy locally who restores them, so if it is broke it will be no problem to fix.

AM-FM Radio
I have two AM-FM radios for 1967 Cutlass and F-85, Delco model number 7300113. I cannot determine if they will fit in another year than 1967. I identified them using the data from a Delco Radio service manual. Notes I made to myself indicate that they are in very good and excellent condition. Let me know if you are interested and I can dig them out of storage. You can email me at herbslegacy@sbcglobal.net .
