WTB 1964 Cutlass rocker panel trim and wheel well moulding

Trying to source some of the aluminum/chrome rocker panel trim (both left and right) as well as a set (4) wheel well trim for a 1964 Olds Cutlass Convertible.

The current rocker trim that runs along the bottom of the car between the front and rear wheel wells are two pieces. I assume stock? There is a long piece and then a short end cap that attaches by the rear wheel well. Don’t now why it has to be 2 piece?

Shipping to Sweetgrass, MT (59484).

Thanks

Kirk

I have a set of the rocker moldings (two pieces) for both sides. I also have the mounting brackets, except missing 1 of the small front bracket that holds the front of the molding. The moldings are driver quality. I will try to post pictures tomorrow and will check shipping for you. I have no extra wheel moldings -they are really hard to find. John

I haven't found anybody reproducing these and good used ones are hard to find. If John's are good enough for you I'd encourage you to snap them up! Its very common for these to be corroded on the side under the rocker panel. I pulled a set from a project car and it looks like acid had been poured on them in places!

Hey - any thoughts on where to send a used set for reconditioning? There must be places that specialize in re-doing trim? Smooth out the bumps and the chrome plate them or something?

The problem is these are aluminum, and came from the factory with a coating, anodized maybe? But once you break through that coating polishing them the aluminum becomes very vulnerable and will corrode much easier. I don't know, it may help to coat them with car wax. That may add a little more protection. Newer years used stainless steel for this trim which polishes up and stays nice much easier. John
