Wanted: Weatherstrip/felts for 1970 442 with B85 molding
In am in the process of restoring my 1970 442 W-30. The belt reveal on the doors and quarters has the anodized aluminum B85 Trim. I have had the aluminum pieces refurbished and am now looking for the weatherstrips (felts) that attach to them. The existing ones, shown below, appear to have a metal inner core, with tabs that allow them to attach to the trim. Could you please message me with any information you might have on where I could find then? Thank you, Car Lady
Several years ago we also were looking everywhere for these B85 weatherstrips for a ‘70 W30, and after trying a few outfits,
I found these guys..http://www.repops.com/product-search...=2&mo=85&yr=44
I hope they still carry this part, a good source for Olds parts.
Good luck

Thank you. I actually have them on order from Fusick. Unfortunately they have been on backorder since December with no progress as of a week ago. I also have them on order from Supercars Unlimited. Their confirmation (back in April or May) says they are out of the office for a few weeks. I have tried calling and their answering machine still says the same. I'm hoping to find another source before they are the next step in the restoration.
Contact Restoration Specialty and Supply and/or Steele Rubber Products and ask for PN 200675. I bought a set from Steele many years ago and the kit is apparently made by Restoration Specialty and Supply. While I haven't yet installed them on a car, I did mock them up on the loose B85 alum trim pieces and they look like they'll fit and look great.
This is for a NON-post car. B85 pieces are different on post cars.
Thank you so much for the information. Sources are so important. I'm sure this is not the only part I will be needing as we get further into the restoration.
