Wanted 70-77 nos or mint sport wheel

My 1972 W30 convertible is wearing its original sport steering wheel which like most has very little grain. I would like to find an nos wheel or a very cherry one. I’m picky and looking for a very mint one. Willing to pay a fair market value too. Please email me atalsutton@shaw.ca or pm me. I’m going to Gettysburg so perhaps a good place to do the exchange.
Thx,
Al

You do realize that a 77 sport wheel is totally different than a 70 sport wheel correct?

I am pretty darn sure that all the 70-77 sport wheels are all the same, all black and share the same part number. They are all 15.5” in diameter. I will reconfirm that when I get home in my parts book.

Hi Al, you are right but the Starfire model did have a smaller diameter wheel that looked like the Cutlass/442 line of steering wheels. Here is a link - see post 2 by Joe P.

Hi Tom yes I am familiar with the Starfire wheels which can come in numerous colors and are about an inch smaller in diameter but the Sport wheels that were available on Cutlass/442’s from 70-77 are all the same as noted above 15.5” diameter etc.

Al, I've got a wheel with a lot of grain still on it, but its sticky. If you wouldn't mind cleaning it up I can dig it out and send you photos to consider.
