Wanted. 70-72 4 core radiator top plate

Wanted really clean condition 1970-72 4 core radiator top plate cover. Condition is important and I am hoping to find one free of pitting. Thanks, Al

For clarification, is this for an auto or manual vehicle?

I've noticed that most "correct" auto cars have one style and manual cars have another style. Not trying to be persnickety, just trying to help you get the right part. Maybe one of the local master judges could provide clarification.. Good luck with your search.
Automatic.....

Manual.......

I have my own 4 row radiator top plates the I have made.....using all original parts. You should be able to find a super clean used original but I figured I would mention it. Pricier than the repro top plates since mine are more accurate looking and also pricier than a good used original since mine have my "time" in them and have already been beadblasted and epoxy-primed.

Keep looking.....there are plenty originals floating around out there and I fully appreciate your desire for an original part.

If you end up having interest send me a pm.

Those top plates are for fan shrouds vs no fan shroud not auto vs manual trans. The fan shroud cars are equiped with HD cooling while the non fan shroud cars have standard cooling regardless of the trans.

By the looks of it the lower pic is a 3 core rad where as the the upper pic with the shroud is the 4 core top I am looking for. Mine has the shroud and the HD cooling package with the 4 core rad. Al

Does anyone know if the 70 top plate design was used on any of the early 71s, like the flat top fenders were?

Can you clarify the difference in top plates rubber insulator? Have one trying to see difference.

Joe, please clarify, is it the early one with the shallow saddles and the later with deep ones? I've got some pictures of the two but am having trouble with my photobucket page. I'll try to upload them when I can. John
