The one I need does not have the nipple on the side. The one with the nipple is a vacuum connection for the PCV setup. The other is just a breather. Please send a pic to my email of the one from the 66. thanks

Thanks, but I need the block. I would take a short or long block, but do not need heads without the block.

Thanks, COR. I've replied to the ad, waiting to hear back. Highly doubt it's an original 64 442 engine. Seller is probably confused because it has the high compression heads and the block reads 381917. On the outside, there is no way to tell it's a 442 engine. unless, you have the POP and the cars build or broadcast sheet.

ttt, need a 330 block, julian date code 89-105 (this corresponds to 4A, 4B and 4C on the data plate), correct block will have a #1 or 2 above the 89 to 105 number by the distributor. Also, number above timing chain cover should be 381917 followed or preceded by a #1.

Thanks for taking the time to look, Larry. To everyone else, please look at the 330's you have stored away. I would like to get this engine project under way. Remember, Julian code of 89-105. Thanks.

Keener, I've got a friend here in Medford with one that's either a 73 or 78. I know that's outside the range you posted, but if you decide it would be close enough to work let me know and I'll help you get in touch with him.
