Wanted:1962 98 rear bumper

Looking for a nicer driver quality rear bumper. Not to far from Chicago. Or willing to pay shipping. Thank you.

any bumper from any full-size 1962 Oldsmobile- 88, Ninety Eight, Starfire.

Your bumper can come from any full-size 1962 Oldsmobile- 88, Ninety Eight, Starfire. One of the few years Olds ever did that.

Yah, I know, doesn't make a good one any easier to find.

Found one online last summer. Cannot remember where, but it was an established vendor, not a private individual. Wanted $1,800 for it! I did not buy it.

Found it at this link -
http://www.billionsandtrillionsinc.c...s/DSC09808.htm

While the site does not list a price, the figure I quoted above is what he stated in a reply to my email asking the price.

Dave. Oh Dave. You should have expected that when you asked that looneytune about one. I can almost promise it would have been a rough scudder too, barely replatable if repairable at all.

I have no idea who the vendor/seller is. I take it from your comment that he has a reputation and that reputation is not good?

I tried to sell a good core and presentable driver for two years with "NO" rust. Only $150.00 or best offer but had no takers and it went to scrap dealer...
