Want ot buy Delmont 425 front fender emblems
Guys I'm scratching my head but I think the 67 Delmont 88's had 425 emblems on the front fenders. I think that would be very cool on the 64 F-85 "post " car with the 425.

You're right, all 425-powered '67 Delmonts had the emblems. I had a pair but sold them to a CO member "down under" a while back. Saved the pics on my camera though. I'll find them and post up here.

You know, I think that was the only engine size callout Olds ever put on one of their cars. I'm trying to remember if the Ram Rod cars said 350. Those are so uncommon it's hard to say.
The later stuff with liter displacements, we won't even talk about those.

And the 70 Rallye 350's. Henry

These are the ones I sold back in early 2010.
The odd thing about these emblems is that they weren't so much to denote the engine size as to distinguish between the 2 Delmont models. Yep, the Delmont 330 was a 5400 series (formerly Jetstar 88) and the Delmont 425 was a 5600 (formerly Dynamic 88). Odd, but true.

I would use moulding tape or a dab of silicone in place of the broken stud. Repainting is easy - spray the whole front in black, wait for it to tack up then wet a paper towel with thinner and lay it on a flat, hard surface. Wipe the emblem faces over the towel quickly then do a final clean-up on them by hand after they're almost dry. Those are nice unpitted castings.

I found these over 20 years ago when you could still find them in the local pick your part place. Had an idea a few months ago to put them on my friend's '65 Cutlass that does have a 425. He liked the idea so I put them on. Ground down what was left of the studs, re-painted them and used that automotive grade 2 sided tape and voila, nice and discreet. 2011-06-05164813.jpg 2011-06-10153420.jpg
