Cool want to buy some books

OK guys as I come near to my build starting and also want to have knowledge before I go to community college in my area to learn more I want to get a few books loll.the first one I want to get is a book about carbs I saw one that had to do with Rochester and edelbrock but can't remember for the life of me its name. I feel my clymers and chiltons (old school if that makes a difference lol) will be good for building an tuning so not too concerned there. What all did you guys buy receive when you were younger that furthered your knowledge?

I prefer a Motors manual over Chiltons. A chassis manual for your car is a perk also.

Most of the manuals are going to be year specific and use factory settings. They are a guide to the factory recommended basic setup for the engine. It's trial and error to make it better.

There are books by Joe Mondello, Bill Travato, Bob Gerometta, etc...

No just a 70 Motors manual. You don't need the whole car, just the engine. You may be able to get away with this one that I posted earlier.

also check out wildaboutcars.com and see what books they have there, save you some money on buying a book you may or may not need.

You can get Cliff Ruggles's book about tuning QuadraJets. I thought it was quite edifying.

Also the Rochester Carburetor Manual can be downloads for free.
