Anybody have set of valve covers for a 1970 olds 455 MTs that are on it were butchered to fit edlebrock vent caps!

If you're into originality, 455 valve covers came "notched" to provide a little more clearance for the power brake booster and a/c (if equipped), even though non-notched covers, say from a 350, still provide enough clearance. It sounds like either one will be better than your butchered MT's .

Would the valve covers off a 73 350 4bbl, high comp motor fit?, or is there not enough clearance?

 

They should. 73 is when the they changed the design, so to speak. instead of just notching the ends, they shaved the whole side.
