I want to buy a pair of the stock Olds valve covers that have "OLDSMOBILE" stamped on them. I'm not sure what year that Olds started doing that, but I sure would like to get a set.

 

They were either 1973/1974 OR 74/75 and you can find a set every so often for $40-60 depending on condition. People (like me) hoard them

There are still alot of Oldsmobiles in salvage yards here in Lansing, MI. I guess I will have to go and start popping the hoods on some of them and see what I can find. I just don't like the chrome ones, and the old finned aluminum ones don't do anything for me either. I have a set of the fabricated aluminum ones from Moroso that I had polished, but they look like they belong on a race car and are out of place on my 65 Cutlass.
