I know this sounds super tacky and cheap, But I have a 70 Vista Cruiser that I bought last spring. It has no carpet and is in poor condition but I want to drive it next spring as a daily beater. It is very noisy with no carpet. I know guys are replacing carpet with new that will probably be thrown away But I might buy it!! I have seen where people has put throw type or home bathroom type rugs in cars but they don't conform to the hump,etc. The best would be a used carpet from a VC in brown but I would like anything I can get- Almost any color would work and even a set from a 2 door I think would get me to the 2nd seat. I understand what you're getting at, but even shipping for a large item like that is going to cost so much it might be better to just line the floor with Fat Max or other sound deadener and just tape a throw mat over the drivers foot well for now.

 

I am replacing my slightly faded black carpeting in my 1970 442 convertible.
It is slit down the middle in the front though for the floor shifter and it had a console.

Allen I know what you mean but I did get a pm and he may be have just what I need, He's checking to see if he still has the old carpet... So you never know.. Dale thanks for the response but the cut under the console wouldn't be too good for me.
