I have one on my 71' original from that time period. It's a tongue type that a ball mounts to. Next month the new lift comes, I'll take a few shots of it. It's a fairly simple design and shouldn't be difficult to duplicate. If you don't hear from me by the second week of January send me a PM to remind me.

Draw tite was the company that made most of the prefab boldt on hitches back in the day. You might try doing a search under that name. I think Valley was another company that also made hitches.

I have one removed from a '71 Cutlass, $50 plus shipping. If you want photos let me know.

For what it would cost to ship one to Australia, surely it would make more sense to have one fabricated locally?.
I have made my own tow bars for several American cars, nothing difficult about, and very little outlay, not including my time though!.
