Only 10% unobtainium

A composite of will , skill , determimation & knowledge
theres a possibility one of those still exist in its natural habitat

Or the back room of the body shop
If it cannot be located it can definitely be made , but just because it can be does not mean it would be cost effective

Pls call or txt me at 989 721 9432

Hows the launch pad in Saginaw lookin'? LOL. Ive been on the lookout for one of these pedal pads for a year now. Even contacted Steel Rubber(?) about making a few. They want a run of 1000. They have the blue rubber and an Electra sized power brake pad, but alas, no love for the little guys.

I had to PM you since I have a flip phone with marginal bars in the hinterlands of northern Wisconsin, and a desk top thats pretty good.

I'd guess if I had a spare pedal and a new pad, I could make a form out of plaster for a lost casting of one at a time. I'd need two to match. So the search continues... any ideas of where one might be hiding please let me know! Happy Holidays to you and the launch crew!

Heres a better view to the unbelievers. Tried to google casting rubber / neoprene parts and it became entangled in the world wide spider web LOL. Anyone ever cast this stuff? Bill

Oh well; 1,846,285 more possibilities LOL... ws

William,
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are not a good fit for low volume inquiries such as yours. Our minimum order is $1,500 and new projects require steel tooling that generally costs at least $5,000 - often much more.

I don't have any good suggestions for you, other than looking for a 3D print shop. There are some printable urethane rubber parts that might work. But, you'll need a 3D computer model of the part before anyone will give you a quote.

Sorry I'm not more help.

Sincerely,
Charlie Braun

Possability

before there were three three 3D printers I use to make all kinds kinds of cool s*** on CNC Mills at the mold shop if you could get a chunk blue rubber a CNC program would cut it out for you might have to Buffett/

polish it

Thanks RS...

Overloaded doing research on 2 part catalyzed urethanes/neoprenes and making a mold etc. Looks like a RTV silicone mold, a new BLACK pedal for "proof" and a clean steel pedal for the male part of the casting. I wonder if that stuff in a can for coating tool handles would work?

Still undecided whether to go blue or black on the new rugs too. Thatll help me decide. Then its all new pedal pads across the board.

What a PITA... probably just go black. The I'LL have the 3 of 4 missing pcs. for the elitist restoration guy(s). YIKES... Bill

So weird things happen when ya listen to the wife, RIGHT? She reminds me just now that we have a friend that has a decent quality but desktop sized 3D printer. Hmmm. After doing a scan of even a NOS pedal pad, would these guys be made out of some syntho-rubber like neoprene, and anyone ever see 3D printer "wire" in that material?

For those million dollar resto's, would there be any kind of a market for me to involve myself in a small cottage industry producing these (dont forget the parking brakes and "fast" pedals too) in a basic color of choice to match the interiors, like blue, red, green, even white? Just curious guys. Shoot me yer thoughts! Bill in TR
