Steering box, dome lights, glove comp lock

Looking for a 92-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box for a conversion of my 72 Supreme, as well as dome and side panel lenses, and a glove compartment lock, all for the same '72 Supreme.

I have some used dome lenses, no charge with any purchase, and maybe the side lenses, $15.00 for a pair if I have them, and also the glove box lock $20.00.

Excellent, go ahead and check for the side lenses. In any case I'll take the dome lenses and the glove compartment lock. I use Paypal, if that's your thing. Shipping would be to Florida.

Thanks.

So it looks like I have one decent dome lens, one rough side lens, & a good glove box lock. How about $25.00 shipped for all of it? If so, paypal to scottawinn@sbcglobal.net
Thanks.

Shipping would be a lot on steering box. I would suggest buying one at a local junk yard. These cars were one of the cash for clunkers so the yards are littered with them. And you can usually give them your old box to save a few bucks on the core. The yard I went to had 8 to chose from.

Scott: Looks good - does the side lens clean up, do you think?

4speed455: The last three junk yards I've talked to wanted in excess of $250 for a used steering box. That's why I wanted to see if someone could/had already lifted a box and was willing to send it to FL to my engine crate. At this point I might've lined up a guy willing to sell one for half of that over here, which'd make it cheaper for me to do that.

Being an owner of a Supreme,I have found those rear pillar lenses to be the same in some of the big cars. I just don't remember which ones.It had to be a 69-70 Delta because I didn't part too many Deltas.

Brian,
You're right, some Deltas had them & I think I remember a Caddy or two having them but the shape of the lens was smooth instead of ribbed. More upscale you know....
Seff,
The side lens is barely above junk really. If you do to much to it it will flake/shatter/break. I had a box of NOS side lenses, but I have hidden it from myself right now.

Hahah, sounds like a LOVELY game of hide and seek. :P Lemme know if you find it. I'll let you know when my engine is getting close to being shipped, and if you haven't found the nice ones by then, I'll take the crusty one. Is that okay?

In the US you can buy a remanufactured GC box at any parts store for ~$150 plus the core. Not sure if that is an option in Europe or if you have a core in FL. Core charge would get you back around that $250 mark.

I'll get a much cheaper box locally, luckily. So unless that falls through, I no longer have to worry about getting one from the US. Thanks though.
