just curious vinmichael, your replacing the std bore soup bowls with std bore hicomp pistons.
how did you decide the bores were ok and didnt need any work? did you measure for out of round, or to see if it was still inside tolerance limits, or just 'bung em in and she'll be right mate', lol..
did you do anything at all to the bores, ie, remove the ridge at the top or a hone?
I'm not having a go at you, actually I've thought of doing the same but went a different road.
Please share.

Original owner could have know it was a low mileage engine or something. He owned a successful body shop and just seemed like the kind of guy who wouldn’t cut corners. Though he didn’t build it himself.

I have a dial bore gauge and mic for pistons. So I will measure once I get my hands on the pistons.
