Retainer ring for 72 Cutlass Standard Trans Shifter Boot - No Console

Hello,

I am looking for the steel retainer ring for a shifter boot in a 72 Cutlass non-console benchseat car. I will post a picture of what the boot itself looks like.

Thanks!

Ben

Hello - if you are trying to duplicate the original appearance, I'm pretty sure the shift boot does not use a retaining ring. It screws, under the folds of the boot, directly to the raised perimeter lip of the shifter hump.

Thanks for the response! Fusick told me their was a ring but it wasn't reproduced...I am going from an auto to a manual trans and I was told on the non-console cares there was no additional sheet metal outside of the standard trans tunnel. Is that correct?

I believe the 68-69's used a bezel for the boot on non-console cars. There is a trans hump is used on console and non console cars if you are trying to make it look stock. It is available from Fusick and The Parts Place.
