Quadrajet
looking for a Quad to fit my 72 350 auto ,must be year specific ,automatic codes will be 7042250,7042252,7042254,7042256,7042258 ,please state condition of carb ,useable or needing a rebuild and asking price
That should be reasonably easy to find. I might have one, but I won't be back in town for about a week. Start here in the "parts wanted" section and keep an eye on the on-line auctions---they (the carbs) are usually for sale at realistic prices.

You left out 7042251, the usual big block 1972 carb, AT big cars mainly.
The widely spread "odd is MT, even is AT" thing does not apply to Oldsmobiles, generally.
The '252 will be a Toro carb- throttle linkage may differ, perhaps no kickdown cable provision, since all were TH425 transes.
I can get a 7042252 for sure, probably any of the other common numbers like '250, '251 also. All are rebuilt but not necessarily re-colored and replated everything, and are $300 delivered in the USA 48 states. No core required.
Typical example:

Specific photos before shipping but after I get a deposit.
