need the B pillar plastic inner covers for 4 dr sedan, 77-79 C or B body, any GM 4 dr full size car should work. This is the part the upper shoulder seat belt comes out of, approx 3' tall. Please advise and thanks!

Anyone know of a 77-79 full size parts car?? Any GM make will work.

 

Do you know if the 1980-90 cars use the same cover? I've got a 1984 Custom Cruiser and a 1986 Caprice wagon that I'm parting out. I'm pretty sure the wagon and four door covers are the same, I just don't know if 77-79 is the same as 80-90. Parts will be cheap if you can use them.

 

Hi Joe: Thanks for responding. I'd considered that but didn't list the '80s cars because I'm not sure. It wouldn't surprise me if they would work, I can't see why they'd change them in '80, I believe the shape of the B pillar may well be the same in all full size 77-90. But I'm not sure how to verify if they interchange as I don't have a parts manual for my '79, nor for the later cars. Color doesn't matter as I can dye them with SEM products, only the condition of the plastic is important.

Would you consider sending 1 and I can compare in person? If good you can send the other and I'd pay, or will pay in advance if you prefer, or however you wish to do it. I have a 100% rating on eBay (73olds88) and I founded the Blue & Gray Chapter of the OCA around '85 at Wintrode Olds in Littlestown PA, and have had 15 vintage Olds 1936 to '79, just so you have some idea of my back history with Olds... thanks again for responding to my inquiry ... At least they should be pretty light! Size around ~8" x 36" ? I can't recall if they are in 1 or 2 pieces (my car is 300 mi away in Vermont), but I need the whole B pillar cover from floor to roof. Thanks very much for your help!

Joe, from 'net research so far, it appears that pillar cover is applicable for '82 to '90, at this point I haven't found verification of back past '81, so I suspect some change was made post '79, best to hold off until I can get verification that an '84 pillar cover will work. Thanks for your efforts.

 

Joe's part not correct, so still need these B pillar plastic covers!
