This is Mike Richards. How did you pay and do you have his real name or payment name? I think he got some other guys too and he answered one of my wanted ads but I ignored him.

If you search for Paul Hertz on this site, his e-mail address is public knowledge. I would never (and, I will not) attempt to assist in a discovery of a person. However, there are methods in which a person can be a sleuth. If you know how to use e-mail and you know a person's email address, you have the first piece of the puzzle to track someone down. As I said, I won't get involved in this type activity; with that said, this is common (public) knowledge (below). You have to acquire or have a little networking savvy to work your way through the maze. Once you arrive at the person's IP address, it's awfully easy to find their location. You know how to read an original e-mail header? If not, you might consider learning. Remember, IP addresses are assigned based upon geographical regions. I'll leave the rest up to others.
Email headers contain important information about the origin and path an email took before arriving at its final destination, including the sender's IP address, internet service provider, email client, and even location.

Yep am not using pay pal currently, but always tried to avoid using the F & F option. The buyer has no recourse if the deal goes south. Used to explain that to them (buyers that insisted on F & F) and most of them agreed.

I always make the buyer send a USPS money order if the sale is over $100, or a check if it is smaller. If the check is no good, so what, it isn't going to break me and the USPS is supposedly good, but don't try to cash it at the post office, they won't cash their own money order.

I switched to ebay so i wouldn't have to deal with that
I set my own prices, pay my promotion fees, and sell..eventually. That having to worry if my parts and business practices are legit are thrown out the window. If you’re on ebay and dealing with serious buyers that don’t get to haggle or form an opinion about you by way of their good ole boy network, you can sell parts to prospective buyers and they are protected via ebay. You’ll look up a year later with no regrets.

Yes you get protection on eBay but you have to be very careful with buyers. I've heard numerous stories about buyers will complain about the condition of a item and want a discount and threaten negative feedback. The way I handle that is I offer a full refund refund no question asked but buyer pays return shipping. I think I have had only one item returned because the buyer didn't know what he was doing.

That's why I like to sell with USPS Money Order only! Pay Pal is to loose for me most of the time. If it's a well-known member I will PP F&F to buy but no one else! And I will never, ever sell with Pay Pal because they want bank account information to verify me......they'll never get any more info from me than they have already!

Add Paul Hertz to the list. hertz.paul@aol.com. I have gotten this message from him twice regarding the 1100837 I was trying to locate, "hi i got what you needed, let me know if your willing to purchase and for details too." I responded the first time and asked for photos. The ones he supplied were of restamps and appeared though he had just copied and pasted them. I got the exact same message again about 2 weeks later.

Paul Hertz
I didn’t realize Paul Hertz was ‘banned’, when I confirmed a payment for some bezels for my 66/442. Did the transaction through ‘Telle’ via B of A. Going to contact them to see if there is any recourse and alert them that this guy is a scam artist. Wasn’t a big loss, but still!
