Parts for 70 OAI Hood

I just ordered a hood for my 69 Cutlass from Rob at Fiberconcepts. So I will be needing a pair of lightweight hood springs and a pair of hood fastners. Looking to see if anyone had some laying around before I ordered new.

He also said I need a 70 hood latch?

I brought my springs from the parts place. I think they run for around $39 plus a few extra for shipping.

The ones from The Parts Place seem to be the best thing out there right now.If you can find a 78-80's Delta, with the aluminum hood, those springs will work pretty good. However, the Deltas with teh aluminum hoods are not real common, and I think they were the Canadian-built cars that had them.

There are at least 2 guys on this site that have changed over their 69's to a 70 OAI hood. It looks so incredible you wonder why Olds didn't make that hood sooner. Looks something like this.

I remembered who one of the guys with the 70 hood on the 69 is. Here's his PM messaging address if you want to compare notes with him (69CutlassAlex)
