Need one. No one appears to be making these anymore. Must be in very good condition. I'd prefer a repro because that's what the other three I have are. I've sent a message to Stockton Wheel but haven't heard back. If anyone knows who might still stock them new please let me know. The production dates on the ones I have are 2007 (for the 15x7) and 2009 (for the 15x8's) so they have been available up until fairly recently. I've checked all the other major places that carry rims and no ones appears to have anything except SSI's

I'm just looking for the rim and $349 for a steel rim is just ridiculous. When they were producing these they were $150

BTW, Thank you for finding it. None of the searches I did at TPP came up with this. My guess is they have a few more left that they're selling but they are no longer produced

If they are actually trying to sell them out, they may consider reducing the price, especially if they feel there is no longer any great market for them...

That being said, as for the high price, to have a standard SSIII Steel wheel sent out for chroming isn't cheap.... A friend of mine wanted to have 4 SSIII's chromed, since he couldn't find any at the time, and he was quoted $1000 to $1200 referencing all the tight areas in the design of the wheel....

I sent them an email and had a reply within 30 minutes.... This was the reply sent to me in quotes.....

" I took those off my site but they for some reason show up on the Internet, no one has those wheels, manufacture does not make them anymore, they stopped about 2 years ago. Thanks Jason"

This makes me wonder whether or not "THE PARTS PLACE" actually has any as well, and if they do, how many.... Although the price seems extreme, this may be your best and/or only option at this time.... I presently have a set of 5 of these wheels (new in boxes), but the shortage, if even still available makes me want to purchase another set just to have handy for future projects...

After making my last post, I decided to contact THE PARTS PLACE and check availability for a quantity of 4 wheels..... They sent me a return email stating that they only had three in stock and did not know where to get another one to complete a set of 4.....

Maybe I'll call them and offer them $150+ shipping for one. I doubt they will go for it.


BTW I also sent a message to the apparent successor of Blue Oval Ranch, DENWERKS Vintage Cars, on FB and got no response. I also tried to call and it rolled right over to voice mail.


I also sat on hold with Specialty Wheel today for ten minutes and no one ever picked up.


For those that are interested I also posted this on FB and was told that the factory 15x7's have a 4" backspace and the repro's are 4.25" BS so ideally I'm looking for a repro

I previously (6 or 8 months ago) had checked with Specialty Wheel & Wheels Vintique.... Neither one sells them any more.....
