88 tach

Yes, called them FRI and was told they'd "been out for about two years"
The guy was very quick with no offer to check. Do you happen to know
someone who works there?

The 64-66 tachs come up here & there on EBay, suggest you create a “saved search” there with a string like this:

(1967, 1968, 67, 68) (Oldsmobile, Olds, olds, oldsmobile) (tachometer, tach)

The parentheses mean “or” to their database lookup which means it’ll do a wider search. This search will hit on people who post tachs under any of those variations.

You’ll probably hit on a bunch of expensive Cutlass / 442 items, but if you do, put “-Cutlass, -442”

Hope that helps.

Olds offered RPO Y79 Tick-Tock-Tach in the full size cars for the 1967 model year only. It uses the same guts as the 1968 A-body Rally Pac, but the housing has the unique stud mounts for the full size cars. Those are nearly impossible to find, but that's not what the OP is looking for. He wants one of the aftermarket tachs WITHOUT the clock that GM Sport Salvage produced. They are no longer making them. There was one on ebay a number of months ago - first time I had ever seen one for sale.

Owen if you didnt know you can easily fit an after arket tach in the pod. I have a sun super tach 2 there. The repro tictoc tachs as well as the oe ones have a reputation of being inaccurate.

ill bet that guage company that makes the custom gages could make something oe looking (cant think of the name ATM)

I want to thank all who have responded. Back in the 70s I had a Sun Super Tach in the right side bezel.
Just didn't like it; especially that big gaudy chrome bezel. Then I tried a Faria tach. I t was too small. Then I found a tic-toc-tach in the bone yard, sent it off to be calibrated, and tried it. Never really liked that. Then I saw the one shown above. I lknow I can get one custom made. It may come to that. But for now, please help me find one like I want.

Thanks,
Owen
