Olds 455 manual transmission crankshaft.

You could use a auto crank, a decent machine shop could drill the end of the crank for a standard pilot bushing from say a SBC. I had one done probably 30 years ago.

If you have a good automatic crankshaft here's a diagram of how to have it cut/drilled for a pilot bearing or bushing. I used this to have a crank done several years ago and it worked perfect.

I had a machine shop do that 2 years ago and they charged $200. 30 years ago the same shop charged me $50. It's not cost effective anymore.

I thought there was a bearing that would fit OVER the end of the crank.

There is a bearing adapter but it requires cutting some off of the input of the transmission gear.

this bushing does need to have to be crank drill about a 1/2 deeper to clear or cut the trans input shaft

these are from a friend. I am planning on doing this very soon.
also if your already rebuilding the engine I can’t see them not being able to drill the crank for you
