NOS 1972 Cutlass S Hood Louvers

Hey Guys,

I am just finishing up the restoration of my 1972 Cutlass S and we are having a few problems getting the hood louvers rechromed because of how pitted mine are in the creases of the louvers...translation its going to be a little spendy.

I thought I would check to see if anyone has a NOS in the box set of these? Any help is appreciated.

Ben

You could be right. Those louver plates are the same for 1971 and 1972 so I hope you're not restricting your search to '72.

I've been watching for a couple years and have yet to see a mint/NOS pair. I have a few sets now, just need to pick out the best of the litter for my car.

About as plentiful as '71 S grills in solid condition with all tabs intact!

I will have to look but at one time I had a pit free set. They were not good enough for a high end restoration as is but at least they had no pitting to give a rechrome shop something to work with. Send me a reminder to look for them and I will see when I get home from work.

That would be great! Let me know if you run into them.
