I am looking for a low-range tach 0-5000 rpm. In cup with mounting bracket (intend to mount to steering column). Chrome cup ok, black ok, green ok. Nice condition. Electric, standalone (no sender) and want light. So, positive, tach signal electrical, ground, light wires. Hundred up to a few hundred is budget. Car is unrestored but goes to shows (my old green van.)
Thing has 4.11s, so a tach would be ok, I figure.
Example dash close to mine and correct color so I want to clamp to that column and sort of fit with that vibe.
Have you checked ebay? Lotsa vintage (and newer) column-mount tachs on there - some of the newer Mooneyes and Sun brand units are pretty cool. I'd probably stay clear of the really older units that need a separate sending unit (a lot of the old Stewart Warner Green Line units from 60's into early 70's are set up that way.
