Need correct shifter for my 66 cutlass.just the handle

 

I have one for sale but its for a complete console - see posting

 

That 68-72 shifter will fit right into your console and work just fine. If you do find one not broke its going to cost like $1200

unfortunately it will not...its missing something that makes it fit with the bracket

if thats what you insist on using they are available & considderably less than 12 hundred million dollars ...

 

Very common to have the nipples broken off the shifter shaft like you have. The 67 up shifter will fit and you use the entire shifter and go to cable shift. Not a perfect screw for screw set up but a much better set up when done. It will be spendy when or if you find a 64-66 shifter that is not broken.

 

yall quit jackin my prices up ??? Got 2 know they are crappy junk design & ol boy will break it if he sneeses or look's at em wrong but price is based on value they may b rare....but not that valuable
got one for my 66 builder in cali last year with a replaced handle like a 69 & it had a good action....hate to see people invest time & money in items that will fail if a 6 year old grabs it but full disclosure of th facts followed by my motto....if its yours.....by all means...do what ya want with it....over there ...where I cant see...

& havent enginerred it yet but me thinks th 64-6 t handle would look nice & play rite on a G body shifter...call me crazy...but it just may cure th underengeneered tinfoil shiffter issue....

th unholy grail...1 of 2or 3....same fine quality that rolled of th line & tried to make th oldsmobile name mean somthing & possibly why th cutlass wasnt #1 til 67 ???
