Looking for the horizontal rubber strips for the front and rear bumpers on a 1973 cutlass 442. I would also like to find the rubber strips for the bumper guards. Does anyone know of a source?

 

I'm pretty sure I've got a set of bumper guards off a 1973 Cutlass. Can you send me pictures of yours so I can compare them to see?

I've tried to remove these impact strips off 1973-77 vintage cars. What happened more often than not is the threads would be stiff and I'd end up rotating the bolt head inside the rubber strip. Unless you can find an NOS one somewhere it may be hard to find a decent used one.

right now I'm having both re-chromed. the ones I've got aren't terrible if they can get them off without messing them up. The guards aren't too bad. I just would like to find the long horizontal strips if I can. Finding any parts for a 73 is tough. you may be able to see the ones I've got in my newbie posts.
