I have one with zero pitting or damage, but I have about $500.00 into getting it here. I have it hot-tanked & blasted, ready to build. I can ship it FedEx ground.

The total with shipping would be $575.00 This is a bare housing with caps. Are you making a race rear? If so,I might be able to supply a different one.

My friend needs it for his drag car he broke his at cordova last weekend . he asked me if I could help source one and im the middle man. he just needs something that will fit the 68-72 a body and needs to be a chevy 12 bolt. he has a ladder bar set up so I guess brackets aren't the most important

Hey Brian, I have a unrelated question. I just bought a gm 8.5 posi #410409 for my 72 Cutlass. Will it work with a 2.73 gear set? After searching the case# on the net I am thinking I bought the wrong one.

The 410409 carrier is for 2:56 gears. The 410408 carrier is for 2:73-up gears.
You would need to use Mr Gasket #908A ring gear spacer with the 410409 carrier.

Copper,
I am located in Erie,Pa. ,along I-90.
